Wonder Week #2- Patterns

This Wonder Week was a doozy! It just so happens to have started the exact same time as when he got his first shots… so we ended up with a couple of days where poor Charlie was very grumpy and screamed for the entire weekend. This wonder week was supposed to hit sometime between 7 ½ weeks & 9 ½ weeks- and it seemed to have started at exactly 8 weeks… so right on schedule!

Here is a list of what they say may happen during this wonder week:

- Able to hold head up much better than before (YES)

- Clearly turns head towards sounds (YES)

- Likes to shift weight forward while sitting on your lap (No)

- Flaps hands against a toy (YES, he also started trying to grab the toys)

- Discovers & Observes parts of his/her body (Sort of)

- Grunts (YES)

The biggest change that we noticed during this week was him all of sudden really lifting his head up high when he is doing tummy time. It lasted only for about 4 days… and on the 5^th day he slept all day long!
